I want: To explain something... mens footwear

In reply to a comment left on my last post by the wonderful and talented Mr. Sheedy I felt it "very necessary" to explain the concept of casual footwear for men.

I DO NOT mean casual as in: "Hey check out my sweet DC kicks", or "uhh yeah I love me some KEDS".. no.

I mean leather trainers, canvas boat shoes and if you're going to wear hightops/hot sneaks a friend designs these exceptional ones SUPRA

Yummy.... Tailored suit, monochromatic all navy, black out aviators, and to complete (cause yes shoes can KILL) sexy leather dress shoes.

Come on guys, spend a little more in this department, they last forever (you can get them re-soled) and YES we are looking at your feet and YES we do notice your double stitch square toed circa 2001 ALDO sneaker/loafer shoes and YES we also notice that you're wearing basketball shoes with your slim fit khakis.... Leave 'em for the athletic wear..

La Buca... has finally crash landed a second destination in the West End (much closer to me :) ) and I want to go. I want everyone to go. L'altro buca.

Ideally start off with Scallop carpaccio, grilled bacon and radish salad, with a truffled lemon vinaigrette - $11.50 and then share both the tagliatelle bolognese $17 and the Roast spring lamb with baby artichokes, fresh porcini and smoked proscuito, and tiny gnocchi $23.50.

I adore William Rast jeans even though the low pockets look funny (cause I have a bum) on me. Now leather jackets? I haven't been this in love with a leather good (to be worn for warmth purposes thereby discluding shoes and bags)since the creation of the Mike and Chris leather hoodie in 2003... Gah...
